The past two days I have been in a cooking mood. Since I came back I have not ventured into the kitchen as I used to, maybe because it is not my kitchen, but I had this urge, so I did on Thursday and yesterday. I made my special pasta on Thursday, tasted nice, although my mom kept spreading bokhoor through the house while I was eating, so I ate bokhoor clouds too! On Friday, I made a special Greek marinade for my chicken, then grilled it outside with corn cobs and sat and ate it on the stair steps outside, very refreshing atmosphere to eat, kind of street like.Today I am in the mood for chicken satay, a traditional Indonesian dish, but very famous in the Netherlands. However, now I have to think of where I can either get a ready made Satay sauce or try to make it on my own, so I will let you know if I ever get that done. If you never had authentic chicken satay, it is chicken with a rich peanut sauce mixed with some sambal, or ma3booch indonesi, very good.
In today's papers, I saw that the chairman of Renault is stepping down and is now replaced by the chairman of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn. For those not familiar with the guy, he is a Brazilian from Lebanese decent, who has made Nissan into a major player in the International scene, and is set to take Renault even further. Renault is the major player in the European market, with high ratings in customer satisfaction and durability. Nissan is major in the South American and American markets. Take note of the developments in the next 10 years in this company as it moves from strength to strength, leaving other auto-makers trailing behind.
Just a small note, sometimes I get notifications on my e-mail for comments on posts in this blog or even posts in my old blog, but the comment does not show on the latest posts, nor does it give me clues on which post it belongs too. Hence, if some of you comment on my old blog and do not get a response, I apologize it is not me being rude, but that is because it is not active, and also its hard to find comments easily via a search mechanism inside the blog (unless someone knows how), so please try to comment on my current posts, or if you want to ask or have concerns on issues in my old blog, my e-mail is in my profile and everyone is welcome to send e-mails.
