My first blogger meeting

Today I went to Second Cup in Kuwait city with Nibaq to attend my first blogger meeting. The thought of the mystery blogger was lingering in my head, yet nibaq did not want to reveal any details.

We got there around 5.30 pm. The place is nicely situated across from the stock market. You can park in sooq el-manaakh parking, and you just go up and bingo, you are there. The place was quiet. When we got there Forza and bloboz were already there. Tata came in later. It was nice meeting them and It was even nicer to see the surprise on their faces when I mentioned that I was Purgatory72. Of course I got the usual question, why penguins :)? I will not say why here, the people at the meeting got the answer, so lesson for others, you want answers, come to the meetings :P

Now, the mystery blogger showed up somewhere around 6.45 pm. I was surprised to see him, I thought it was a hoax, but turned out to be true. The guy was very nice and articulate and was also famous. Now because of private matters related to the person himself, I cannot say anything more on how he looks like, which blog is his blog, etc., but what I can say is he was a nice guy to meet and hopefully he comes to the following meetings, if he has time. He even was nice to sign a few things for us and take pictures.

Hopefully the next meeting will be even with more bloggers, I would recommend it for sure.

They had a meeting a few months ago, only three girls showed up. You can check on it in D&G's blog.

Purgalicious, I started the whole blog meetup thing lol Nobody before me even mentioned anything about a public blogger meetup and to be completely fair the blogger meetup thing organized by TataBotata or Nibaq or whomever has been going on for awhile now and our all-girl meetup thing only happened once. All in all, I'm glad you had fun and I'm sorry I couldn't make it but as I explained on the phone "ma adill Second Cup". Inshalla next time :P

I couldn't come coz I don't have a blog & I can't as well (why i cant is a confedential issue).
And you (purg) didn't tell me where will the meeting be held.

Nooni, elee tabeee etyee 7ayaha allah, I do not think any of the organisers said anything about no females, everyone is welcome. It is a nice bunch and nice times, it is a personal decision for each person to either come and join this group, or sit on the side and watch what the people are doing (as some always do) or even come take coffee, take a quick look and go (nafs sa7bna elee we know who he is now :)), so, the choice is up to the person.

1) it was announced on Kuwait blogs
2) there was a reminder on location
3) the mystery blogger decided to come because he felt he wanted to meet some of the bloggers personally.
4) If you were there you would have met him, there was no special treatment.
5) it was 2nd cup, no sushi

and 6) next time you write a comment, please drink coffee to wake up men a7lamech elwardya :P
