I totaly agree on #5. Kids these days cannot be satisfied unless they get their own mobile & their own playstation.. oh & they learn the "F" word at an extremely early age!!!!
True Faith said in July 14th, 2005 at 8:36 am
Good morning :)

#5 is so true ... and those kids of today never ask ... they know every thing :/
Purgatory72 said in July 14th, 2005 at 8:44 am

Good morning!

I think malek el 3asseer is the "great" shawerma place that mark keeps bragging about opposite AUK

Sleep overs at grandmas with my cousins were always the best (even though it wasn't really planned...it simply was coz my grandmas place was the safest place during the war)

I loved those antennas! I just recently learnt how to fix up the satellite channels so i dont have to depend on anyone else... i actually free some time every few months to work on them.

I know what u mean about the kids nowadays...

I was raised in the 80s and my childhood is very similar to yours.
Malek al3aser was THE PLACE. The best cocktail in town, and Laila Gallery? Heheh now I wonder how we actually hanged out there. Sleep at grandma with my cousins was a must thing every weekend. Oh I loved the old Cartoons.

Peach and Orange? What happened to the blue color?
Purgatory72 said in July 14th, 2005 at 1:17 pm

Salted-Caramel said in July 14th, 2005 at 2:50 pm
Growing up in the early 80's was pretty cool too. Well ok I'm a mid-80-er. I was lucky to have experienced the 'innocence' and the 'little things' that made a big difference in our lives. But I see what you mean about the new generation. I guess that's what they'll be saying about the following generation as well. It's the Technology I tell ya!
Shopaholic Q8eya said in July 14th, 2005 at 3:58 pm

I have one of those antennas now, its actually quite good at picking up HDTV signals. Twist the thing till you get a hit.
Purgatory72 said in July 15th, 2005 at 7:47 am
Latifa, if you remember those things then you are old :)

The kuwaiti, hmm, have to think about that.

I heard beautiful things about Kuwait in the 70's I regret missing it as I was born late in the 70's, my teenage life was spent in the 90's .. it was still alot more purer than it is today! I have worries and fear for the little ones growing into such world, and Purgy, you are lucky to have spent such beautiful memories :)
Purgatory72 said in July 16th, 2005 at 12:02 pm
