I spent last night watching V for Vendetta, which left me thinking
1) Do I want to be the dictator who controls everything?
2) Do I want to be the one overthrowing it all for the benefit of the people?
3) Do I want to do (2) in order to be (1)?
4) Am I the man behind the mask ? Do I have a mask ?
It was confusing for me, a hard choice to make if I were in that position. My inner thirst for blood and pain cannot be achieved with a loyal following of eagerly blood thirsty thugs who will not worry about eliminating anyone standing in their way.
However, overthrowing an existing regime with the pretext of a better life for humans is still a devious plan, when executed right.
The story might be fictional, but it can happen in some form or another.
That aside, the film itself was good to watch and keeps you waiting for more. I understand from Nibaq though that the author was against the movie and does not want anything to do with the movie. There are many unanswered questions though like, how the mask man learned his special skills of fighting? who was he before?
