If males who play sports are called Jocks, what do you call females who play sports?
While you think of that (and I expect an answer), I will talk about something that fascinates me, which is the different shapes of soft drinks can openings around the world. Let us take the average Pepsi can. First it comes in different sizes, some countries use the tall cylinderical shape, some use the bulky cylinder shape and some in between, of course you know which one I perfer ;). However, if you take a closer look, you will notice that the can opening is different in the UK than in Kuwait or even the US, which always confused me.
Can it be that they are designed based on the average lip and tongue size of the population? Or can it be that they are designed based on the recommendations from the father (or mother) company? Or maybe they are just designed that way without a specific reason?
I think big companies such as Pepsi and Coca Cola must have a universal standard for can openings, the same way they have standards for taste, components and logos. If they do not have a standard, they should in my opnion, and they also should provide reasons why we have different shapes of can openings for curious people who are always thinking (like myself).
Therefore, I do not have an answer, I am just fascinated.
Before ending, another question for Mr (or Miss/Mrs) Bridgestone Lips, what fascinates you about soft drink cans, any observations that you would like to share?
