You know, once there were plans for us to spend a summer in Seattle and I was so excited. Part of it was because I imagined that everywhere you looked people would be running around all hyper and hopped up on caffeine. Not to mention the lure of the fish market and what I heard about the music scene. Sadly we wound up in Plasticland, aka SoCal. I still want to go to Seatle.
Talked this holiday stupidity to death over at Doug’s who beat you to the punch.
And Iran’s whole Holocaust Conference thing? Please. The David Duke thing just goes to show how much credibility those guys have with the world. He puts the ass in fee-ass-co.
The good Seattleites worked it out amiably. They're the ones who protected local mosques from crazies after 9/11, a hugely diverse and tolerant city. Not just Starbuck's - Tully's, Seattle's Best (now also available at Cinnabon locations in Kuwait and less "roasty" than Starbucks), Millstone, etc have coffee carts on every corner and in every major building. folks there LIVE on caffeine.
