I just finished watching Rocky Balboa, or Rocky VI. I thought it might be just a simple movie, some action and then some music the usual Rocky Movie, since at least Rocky III. However, by the end of the movie I was in tears and am still in tears even when I write this post. The movie is not Oscar material or even new or innovative but the story was so powerful and touching and nice tribute and closure for the Rocky series. For the first time in ages a movie has touched me deep.

The relationship between him and his son, Rocky's desire to continue living despite the falls in his life even the dog he adopts, make the movie special. Rocky is a champ, a powerful reminder to all young people that Old is Gold, and those people that many in present day society discard and think might be useless and past their prime are really in essence true fighters, who will continue to live until their last breath. They earned it the hard way, and were not spoonfed or born into money or even got it from some generous government, they paid the price and deserved everything they earned.

The fight ending was very emotional to me, I think Sly Stallone was geninue in his emotions, he was not acting, that emotion in his eyes was very real. So I say Goodbye Rocky, thank you for the memories, and I thank Stallone for a very wonderful movie.
