Aaah I knew there was something I had left out of my Morning post. As I was driving past the British Embassy Dasman area yesterday I saw all these icecream guys and their icrecream boxes and tricycles. A large KDD van and a large Petra van were off loading ice-creams to them.

i know our ice cream guy since we were little kids ( i am 20 now) he comes to kaifan and he refills his cart from KDD factory which is in shuwaikh and i think he cycles there cause i was there once and saw him arrive. but i think after that he gets a ride home. wallah allah ya36eehom il 3afya ib hal 7ar misakeen idooroon oo iwansoon hal yahal wala kint awal wayed afra7 lama asma3 kilmat "BAREEED" bara ;P

Hmm,
The thing that intrigues me is what do they do when the summer time is off? I mean it's like May to September season, so that leaves them with 7 month of nothing else to do!!!
Do they use a visit visa for such short period? If else, they have a residential visa which yields to a steady daily job!! Which provokes the mystery of what kind of job that allows you a 5 months leave and guarantees you a come-back!!? I think that leaves them with being their own boss!!
Don't wanna go any further, but I know some incidents which included actual spies, not in the real intelligent way, but people who just gather all the information they can while they are at it.

Interesting Mr. Purg...

this same question was on my mind a while ago... and to my area they mainly arrive from the following:

1. Bus from a distant town.
2. cleaning company. (damn do i see so many of them in those yellow uniforms in the morning)
3. some jack-ass 5 minutes away from here has built about 6 or 7 little huts that cram in about 10 people each and rents it out at 2.5kd or 3kd a week.

Which brings up another issue purg... what is this country doing...?! forget the blatant disregard for human rights or human dignity... but there are so many little nooks and crannies in and around kuwait that i don't imagine anybody knows a damn thing about... you can only imagine what happens there...

heh, i was thinking of the same thing today, i was heading back home by 7 pm and i saw a truck loaded with 2 ice-cream bike thingies.

i even asked my ice-cream friend where do they go during winter time and he said that they usually head back home and return back in the summer.

They have like a van, drive to the area they wanna sell at - park at on "the down low" then at the end of the day, shove the cart in the van then "bij"...
