It all started on Thursday as I was leaving work, going through a maze of halls, then I saw him. He was a normal guy in his 40's, normal hair and beard, normal shirt, and jeans, then I get closer and I take a double look, like the cartoons, his jeans brand was LAP KOK!!! Through my head, I started to sound like someone I know (OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!). I sent a message to Stallion (I have no clue why), but he was not in the mood to laugh, but he finally did because he wanted to get rid of messages.
That thought has not left my mind, and today I told someone else, and then I started to look online to find more. Lap Kok comes from an island in Hong Kong, called (Hold yourself....) CHEK LAP KOK!!! (ThePurg's head..OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!), so I look online for more and I find a full list of names, mostly made in Asia. Here are some of the brands that are very famous in India
- Hooray Henry (What about John, he does not have a God?)
- Born Rich (The popular brand for people who have many loans they cannot pay)
- Pranks (I call it branks)
- Mufti (The Jeans that says I am in touch with my Emam)
- Lawman (hmm, Alley McBeal is next?)
- Live-In (I wonder if its for fat people or if they have family versions?)
- Flying Machine (Famous in Oman)
- Jealous (From what? Shorts? Underwear?)
- Sweathog (Ummm, I leave this to your imagination)
- Moustache (I thought men perfered the Brazilian)
This is taken from the article I found online (link is posted at end of this post).
"We had to make sure there was a naughty and a freaky streak attached to it,” says Vetry Ramachandran, creative group head, Designsutra, the agency responsible for naming the Live-In brand.
“These names don’t seem to be created by ad agencies. It’s done more by entrepreneurs who have a certain kind of perception of the teen market.”
(OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!)
