I finished the first two seasons of Life on Mars, the Award winning BBC series. Maybe some of you have seen it, but for those who have not, its an interesting show which is set in a different time but with current themes always in play.
The things I enjoy most on the show
- The brute ways the police operated in that era, reminds me of the old cop shows of the same time.
- The chain smoking scenes, where today can you find something like that on TV! I mean that is just amazing.
- The lead woman is chubby, e7em.
- The Classic music, cannot go wrong with that era's music.
Overall its a very good show to watch, and as far as I understand, a third season will be coming on BBC and an American version by David E. Kelley will be out sometime next year, so before you watch the American version, start with the original version first. Torrents of the first two seasons are available online and here is the Wiki Link. In addition, a spin off series called Ashes to Ashes (another Bowie song), will be released soon on BBC in 2008.
