It’s The End of the World As We Know it! Iiiiiiit’s The End of the World As We Know it! (and I feel fine!)

Long, Long, Loooooooooooong Time ago, the King of a big land died. As per tradition, as the King had no siblings, the first person who enters the gate would be King. So the guards stood at the gate, waiting for the first person to enter the gate after the mourning period, and early at dawn, a begger entered the gate, so they took him and rushed to the palace. The person in charge said to the begger that as per tradition, he will be crowned King. The beggar did not object, after all, why would he?

Days, and months passed, and all was going normal, suddenly, surrounding countries found out about this and decided to invade the land, for the mighty King had passed. Their armies surrounded the outskirts of the land and news trickled down to the castle, so the ministers rushed to the King

King! King! Armies are surrouding our land, and they will invade us!!! What should we do???

The King thought and said " hmmm, Let's have a party!" The ministers were preplexed and confused, but they said, the King must know something, he is the King and we have to listen. So they made a big party and invited everyone and had drinks and food and entertainment for everyone.

The next day, news came that the armies are now surrounding the city, the ministers came rushing again

KING!!! KING!!! They are at the gates of the city!!! What should we do?

The King thought and said. "Hmmmmmmm, Lets have a bigger party, Let us enjoy!"

The ministers were still confused, but said, he must have a plan, he is wise and after all, the King. They invited more people, and had more fun than the day before, and slept happy.

The next day, the armies were at the gates of the Castle and knocking down the doors. The ministers rushed frantically to the King

KIIIIIIIIING!! KIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! They are at the doors of the Castle! What should we do now!!!!

The King said without hesitation..."Give me a bowl and a stick and an old rag", so they did that, and then asked " Now what?" so he replied, " How should I know!! I am just a beggar, I will go beg, for my life, you fools made me King, you deal with it."

I am sure this story will remind you of something in your daily life, it does for me.
