it crossed my mind before
Intlxpatr said in February 17th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
OK Purg, here is how it works. There is this series called the Fibonacci series and . . . well, you being an Engineer, you can follow that thought to it's logical outcome and thus, Yom il Ahad becomes Sunday. This pre-ceded both Christianity and Islam, so you are totally right about eliminating the religious aspect, although the Romans might disagree.

But isn't Saturday Yom il Seven?
Purgatory said in February 17th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
Inlxpatr, whats with you and Mr. Fibo? I bet you half the people who read my blog do not know what that means, not everything in this world can be explained by it ;p

As for Saturday, in arabic, friday and saturday do not follow a number code, with the Arabic Name for Saturday (Sabt) being very close to the Jewish Sabbath, or we can just call it Ozzie Day.
Intlxpatr said in February 18th, 2008 at 8:17 am
Sorry Purg, Sabt sounds a whole lot like Sept (seven in Latin) to me!
