I just finished watching the latest episode of South Park (and smsed Nibaq as usual), and the subject was about the internet. It shows how today we are very dependant on internet and that we can die without it. It also shows that we use internet for useless things (such as reading this blog) and many of us do not even know the basics of internet or hardware (Dude, just unplug!)
I remember in 1986, when I first had access to the web, it was a slow crawl, and I do not even remember what I used it for. We are talking about 1200 K modems, and hours of waiting for something. In 1991, I found about Prodigy, AOL, and other communities, but it was not until the late 1990s that my internet exposure began to expand. As I started with computer very early, I still know how to use DOS commands, and fix many simple things around windows (or even sometimes complex). As for specific laptops and computers, these days forums give you all solutions you need, it is just a matter of knowing your way around.
The odd thing about this week's episode was no Cartman?? Where was he? Could it be that he will be axed? I do not recall an episode of South Park sans him!
I also miss Mad Men, everytime I light up, I keep thinking of them, I cannot wait for the new Season to start.

I woke up today after 8 hours of good sleep, which made up for lost hours in December. It has been almost a month since I last slept this long at night, and it was good.
Last night we went to Taal for some Indian Food Dinner, which usually I would not do but since it was a long weekend, I said Birdie Num Num and went. We had a good meal of different dishes which make you full at the end, and later went by Starbucks for a late night cap. I was dissapointed they shut down Paul, it was the best place for me there which offered quality drinks and sweets.
Prior to heading to Taal, my friend was texting someone on msn-mobile and decided to take a detour to another location close by to scare that young innocent chick who was innocently drinking her coffee and browsing the net.
Questions that poped in my head last night
- Why do Gulf-ies (people from GCC), come to Kuwait on weekends in their high end vehicles and drink/eat at Starbucks or Chocolate Bar? Reminds me of them in the States when they would drive 24 hours just to meet people.
- Why do people eat very late in Kuwait? Is it some Spanish Bug? If you eat a heavy meal at 11.00, how long would it take to digest the meal and sleep for the next day?
In other news, I am working with some Local starving artists on designing a new icon picture, if you are starving, or an artist, or local, you can send yours by email. I am also a proud member of the Slave trade on facebook.
