So What is UP? I will tell you what is UP, for starters, I have been busy with my fantasy league. As most know once NFL season starts, The Kuwait Fantasy League starts, and that means I start speaking and seeing Nibaq again. Our relationship is like that movie Pitch Fever, we only communicate during NFL season. The league this year is shaping out nicely, all teams have a chance, except one, and they blamed me for giving him players after Week 1, who is complaining now huh!! ;p
Social life is a bit quite, I am not as wildy active and flamboyant as Maze is with his escapades in the Avenues, but I still get to enjoy the simple things in life, Edo Night on Monday, outings with good friends, and watching my favorite shows at home.
Work wise, same as usual, but the fun part for me is having a newbie. Everyone has been a newbie at work once, I was one a looong time ago, and some of us have had the experience of training or teaching newbies skills, but what I enjoy most about newbies is the hazing. Since this newbie joined I have been hazing him, in a good way, to teach him about work.
I give him secrets about what to do, how to react, and also what to expect, but I do that through shock therapy. I keep quizzing him and questioning him about anything, and give him that look which says "Are you sure?" and newbie gets perplexed and panics. Others are also doing the same, but I think I am the worse of the bunch, so I hope he picks enough tips from me to help him survive in tough work environments. Today he got his first experience with the big boss and started to figure out what I have been teaching him about work is true and that he should be ready at any given moment. I am not his mentor, actually his mentor needs mentoring himself, but I am riding their backs all day long.
Remember the mandate? Some of you do. Ever wonder what happened to the five members?
1) Me, you know already
2) Nibaq, keeps poping up in papers
3) BoGhazi, eaten by wolves
4) Jazz Central, eaten by cats
5) Q, has become QQL
Gotta go, have to fix my team for next week, and of course a song to close the post
