I just finished watching the Star Trek DVD torrent version, and it was a decent movie, but the Wrath of Khan remains my favorite one of them all.
Things I noticed:
They made the Vulcan love the Black Chick, what is up with that, she cannot love the Chink, The Commie, or the White Boy? The White Boy still gets the Green chick, who I think was made by the Hulk and Wonder Woman, can you imagine those two being together and making a baby?
- Also, what is up with Madea showing in the movie?? Scotty having a mini Chewie kid?
- The Ice Planet and the chase? The more I think of it, the more I think the people who wrote the story were just picking stuff from Comics and Star Wars.
In other news for Trekkies, The Big Bang Season 3 started as well, the first episode was good. Heroes also started, interesting plot, but waiting to find out more, hope it is better than the last two seasons.
For some other reason, after watching the movie, I am singing this song.
"French Labour Minister Xavier Darcos is to meet the head of the country's main telecommunications company to discuss a number of suicides among its staff.
Twenty-three employees of France Telecom have killed themselves since the beginning of 2008.Unions blame tough management methods at the multinational, which was privatised in 1998.But France Telecom says the rate of suicides is statistically not unusual for a company with a 100,000 workforce."
What did management do!!! 23 people!! Imagine the same happening here?? And they have a suicide rate per company!!! I wonder what the suicide rate is for our companies??
That being said, I have always been curious why we never get the angry shooters, you know those people who get frustrated from their job and go back and shoot people, how do we release our tensions??
Just watched two good movies, might as well share for those interested.
The first was District 9, a South African production that is based on District 6 story in South Africa. The movie is set in pseudo documentary style and is an alien science fiction movie, but has many real life connections. An alien vessel stops over South Africa and then one million aliens are left to be housed in shanty towns around the city, then after trouble starts they wanted to move them away to settlement camps, however something else happens first, and the movie then turns into another direction. It is a nice piece of production worth watching, a good cam version is available online, but you can wait a bit for a better version.
The second one is World Greatest Dad, debut direction by Bob Goldwaith (you will know him if you remember Police Academy movies), and it stars Robin Williams as a teacher whose life is turned around after the (......) of (...). Yes I left that blank so I do not ruin the movie, but what I can say is that it is a dark comedy reminding me a bit of Rushmore in a way, but not exactly the same. The movie includes several cameos from characters that you might be familiar with form other tv shows, even a band member from Nirvana (I will let you guess which one and which scene). It is released now in Limited theaters across the States, but a good version is available online. As with many of these movies, a song always catches my attention, and in this movie it is the song "I hope I become a ghost",which I have also inserted here, and I recommend you listen to it, you will like it. The lyrics are very good, and the piano/guitar part from 2.00-2.30 is the part I like most.
One thing I could not connect was Kyle's picture and the way it was taken, it reminded me of a movie, but I cannot quite remember which one. If someone watches the movie and remembers, please let me know :)
