Ok, so far, ZDF and ARD Das Erste show them on Hotbird, so if you do not mind German Commentary (I do not, I understand it), that is your best bet.
However ;), if you do not have Hotbird and have Arabsat, you can still watch Euro 2008 (Answer can be found online, somewhere)
AGAIN! first they cancel ESPN without telling us, now waiting to see Euro 2008 and since afternoon it has been on normal Jazeera on channels where it should be +1 and +2, only to find out now that they are not showing the games!! I am watching it via another source, but if Jazeera plus channels on Orbit will not show Euro 2008 games Live, and they have not informed their customers of it, then that is the second strike aganist them.
Everyone knows by now that Avram was sacked (I personally blame Frankom) and Chelsea is in search of a new manager, again. What amazes me is that a guy who has guided a team to such high places, is sacked, the guy before him was sacked, and even Ranieri, who made them better, was sacked, which makes me wonder, what has the world come to?
For the young football fan, Chelsea is famous as a club of under achivements. Up to a few years ago, they were similar to Today's Aston Villa or West Ham, never close to winning with good to average players (Zola is an exception). However, that changed with the influx of money and power from Russia. While money can buy you good players, get you good coaches, it can't get you luck (Lucky Man U), and as a result good coaches get sacked.
Many did not know about Avram before he came to fame, but the job he did at Chelsea, along with Ten Cate, was excellent under the circumstances, they did not lose many games in the league, they battled till the end for all trophies, but yet again, they lost. Terry did not get his penalty, Lampard hit the post, Drogba hit the post, so why would you kick Avram out?
It is a cruel sport, a cruel world, and no manager Chelsea gets will make them win the Champions League, because they are not meant to win it, next year it is for Liverpool (We would have won it had we reached the final, but Luck was aganist us).
I am still half asleep after staying up and watching last night's game, which Man. Utd. won by luck. I would have perfered if both teams had lost, but that is not possible. However, although they are always lucky, Man. Utd. is a successful team, with the measure of success being their trophies and awards.
Today I was reading a document and the word success was mentioned in relation to a certain theme, which I know is really a failure, but that made me think of how humans seem to imagine success of things, while in reality they are failures, and how relative the word " success" is inturpetted in terms of our understanding of daily life.
Newspapers are full of success stories for people, companies, events, and more, but experts who know those people, or know the field or know the event, can really see through the cracks and determine that the information is bogus and without merit. Sometimes even an ordinary MAN can see the same (woman are blind, so out of equation).
We tend to enjoy positive words mentioned about our failures and enjoy praise for things we did not even contribute to. We see things as pink and orange, while they are black. We lie to ourselves, we betray our selves, we do it, because we cannot face the fact that we suck.
Yes, success is actually suck-cess, a global trend of turning negative things into positives. Famous suck-cessers include world leaders, leaders of industry, and even the common person (note women are included here). Civilizations have been built on suck-cessers spin of events, politics is a dirty game of suck-cessers, commerce is a dirty game of suck-cessers, what have we today that does not suck?
This century sucks. This decade sucks. People suck, we are all suck-cessers. Myself, you, that woman who refuses to draw my new icon (sucks big time) or that woman who keeps accusing me of flirting with any stone that moves (she is nice to me though, not like the icon lady). When will we get tired of sucking? When will we just say enough is enough, we have had it, you damn suck-cessers, get out and let us live our lives like angels?
Let us start today, I will shed away my suck-cessing tendencies, will you?
Remember Enigma? Well maybe you kids won't, but we do. Remember when they came with their special blend of music early in the 90s? Well Since then, I have not heard anything similar.
Today while watching Cold Case, for some reason, my curious brain cell picked the introduction theme music, and then I thought hmm SAW movies, then I searched online and this is what I found.
From Wiki:
" E.S. Posthumus is an independent music group that produces cinematic style music. It is a form of epic classical that fuses intertwined drum beats with orchestral and electronic sounds. Their music is inspired by the Pythagorean Philosophy which states that "music is the harmonization of opposites; the conciliation of warring elements". The E.S. is an acronym for "Experimental Sounds" while Posthumus is a word that represents "all things past". According to the group, E.S. Posthumus was formed in 2000 by brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. Helmut and Franz studied piano with their mother. After graduating from high school, Franz worked in recording studios while Helmut attended and graduated from UCLA, with a degree in archaeology."
Among their hits is Nara (which is what is played on Cold Case) and Also the CBS NFL inrto. You can find more videos on youtube of the music blended on other images, but for those interested in hearing the sound of the Hummus, here are some examples and also an example of Enigma for the kids.
Nara
CBS NFL, my favorite phrase, one team, one (W)hole ;p
